1. Members may enter for all events except that a member may not play in the:
(a) Singles or Pairs Championship of more than one Club as set out in the provisions of Bowls Victoria Rules for Competition 2014/2015 [Rule 2C]. This refers to members of more than one Club.
(b) Minor Championship who:
i. has won a Club Singles Competition at any Club.
has been bowling for more than five years (in total).
2. Arrangements of matches for all Club Competitions will follow the following procedures:
(a) All rounds of events must be completed by the date elected by the Bowls Director.
(b) It is the responsibility of the first named player to take the initiative in arranging the game. The Greens Committee should be advised of the agreed dates and times and players shall put details of the game on the blackboard near Clubhouse door.
(c) If the players cannot complete the game within the agreed time limit, any player/team may, on or before the due date, seek an extension of time from the Bowls Director. If the Bowls Director agrees that all reasonable efforts to arrange the game have been made, it may grant a small extension of time. If it believes that only one player/team has made a reasonable effort to complete the game, it may decide to award the game to that player/team.
(d) Should the match not be completed by the due date and no application is made for an extension of time, the Bowls Director will nominate a time and date for it to be completed. If either player/team is not available at this time, the player/team will be disqualified. If neither is available, both will forfeit the match.
(e) The losing player of a singles match should make them self available to act as a marker in the next round.
(f) For pairs matches, if a player is unable to play due to health reasons, a substitute will be allowed for the first two rounds. However, it is expected that the substitute would then continue in the tournament.
3. In a “minus handicap” event, all handicaps must be played off in full before commencing a positive score.
4. Proportional Event Scoring:
(a) Ten points to be scored between players for each end and allotted thus: Four for the bowl nearest the jack, three for second bowl, two for the third bowl and one for the fourth.
(b) The mat is held by the player with the nearest shot bowl, even though he/she may not score the most points.
(c) The winner is the player with the highest score after all bowls have been delivered in the end when one or both players reach 100.
(d) In the event of a tie, an additional end or ends will be played.
5. Players must observe the Bowls Australia laws and these rules.
6. In a singles match, the jack must be rolled each end and players arrange for a Marker.
7. All scorecards must be signed at conclusion of the game and lodged with the Match Convenor.
8. Any dispute, together with scorecards must be lodged with the Match Convenor within one hour of the completion of the game.
