Sandy No 2 Team Through to Preliminaries

Our No 2 Team had a hot contest against Hampton RSL last Saturday - hot in more ways than one - a close match and temperatures reaching near cut off point.

Both teams battled on with the decision made to keep playing without a break.

Sandringham went on to narrowly defeat Hampton RSL by 7 points.

Congratulations to both sides for their stamina and sportsmanlike play.

$1,000 Raffle - A Shared Win

450 tickets were drawn in the elimination Raffle Day held on Sunday 16 February. It was down to the last two tickets and ticket holders Chris Hall and Robin and Jenny Morris decided to split the first prize - $500 each ticket. And very happy they were!

The Crackerjack Raffle, had numerous prizes on offer with a number of happy recipients. Our thanks to all those who contributed such wonderful prizes.

The Selleck family donated a beautiful handbag - won by the lucky Judi Passmore.

In all approximately $10,000 was raised giving much needed funds to the club.

A big thank you to Sam Ingram, Karen Elias and Diana Ricketts as the organising committee, working alongside so many others. The door team Ingrid, Cathy, Kim and Alan ensured everyone paid and bought raffle tickets. Joy, Karen and David, alongside a hardworking team organised, prepared and did everything to ensure everyone was well fed, along with the many providers of salads and desserts. Thank you all. Travor Isaacs, David Kirby and bar volunteers ensured we were well looked after with drinks.
