After a few delays the Club Triples Championship was played on the grass on Friday 12 April.
Chuckles (aka Jeff) Falkiner, John Erlenwein and Kerri Geard played an admirable championship series but lost the final to Ian Cave, David Kirby and Wendy Gleeson.
Well done to all.
Congratulations to Roy Selleck and Wendy Gleeson who won the Mixed Pairs Championship, playing Peter Sullivan and Pam Henderson in the final match.
Ends were fairly even but a few extra points got Roy and Wendy there. Well done to all who competed.

This year the Board/Committee is required to step down in accordance with clause 16 of the constitution. Therefore, I am required to call for nominations to fill the vacancies for all positions declared vacant.
The nomination form lists the positions available. Please contact the Secretary to receive a form.
Positions are:
President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Bowls Director, Function Manager, Head of House and Greens Manager.
Retiring Board members may re- nominate for the position you currently hold or any of the other vacant positions.
Should there be more than one person nominating for the same position a ballot will be held on the day of the AGM to be held on Sunday the 26th of May.
If you decide to nominate, please return your nomination form by the 26th of April, and place the form in the locked box located on the table outside the office.

Tuesday Social Bowls - Register your name by 9.30am for a 10am start. Assist the organiser Chuckles by arriving no later than 9.45.

Well done Peter Synders (aka “Snyds”) on winning the 2023-24 Sandringham Bowls Club Men’s Singles Championship.
Hot and windy conditions prevailed in the match played against Chris Rawlings on 9 March, 2024.
Peter joins Judi Passmore as Club Champions for 2023-24. Congratulations to both bowlers and all who participated throughout the season.

Record entries in this year’s championship came down to the final played on Saturday 9 March, 2024 in very hot and windy conditions. Well done to Jeff Falkiner (aka Chuckles) and Troy Eaton for great play during the heats and making it to the final.
Congratulations to Trevor Isaacs on winning this year’s Men’s Proportional Championship just defeating Jack Decent in the final.

Joy Elliot and Ingrid Edelmaier were the victors and the new Women’s Pairs Champions, in a tightly fought final against Kerri Geard and Wendy Gleeson.
Kerri and Wendy led by 1 point with one end to go. And then - Joy and Ingrid scored 3 points and won the day! What a finish…..

Thanks to the hard work of our many volunteers this major fundraiser for the club was a huge success.
Once again Joy Elliot and her team turned on a magnificent lunch, the bar was manned by Trevor and Co, with bowling organised by Chuckles.
The Choat raffle raised many dollars for the club - thanks Liz and Steve. There were many happy winners of the enormous number of prizes including many bottles of wine.
Patsy Wraith won the much coveted handbag donated by Viv and Roy Selleck’s daughter.
An outsider and attendee at a Friday night function at the club won the $1,000. Well done Trevor for selling so many tickets to that group.
In all a great day and much needed dollars were raised for the club
Congratulations to Judi Passmore on winning the Women’s Singles Championship.
Joy Elliot and Judi played their final in perfect conditions on Sunday 28 January. There were many close ends and Joy certainly didn’t make it an easy victory for Judi.
Well done to Judi, Joy and all the bowlers who participated in this championship.
